harrahs cherokee casino entertainment So good I had a little bit of everything lol well except Italian food.
Casino area was nice and big too Disappointed in the outside of it by it wasn't lite up and decorated for the season.
Prices are a little extravagant.
I've stayed in many four-star hotels and this place seemed more akin to a two-star.
Even when ordering room service, I had to leave a message and wait for someone to return my call, then wait two hours for it to be delivered.
Everything seemed very impersonal.
For example, to request your car be brought around you have to use an IVR system.
Express check-in, while seemingly a good enough idea, isn't appropriate for a hotel that calls itself "four-stars.
What a fun place to spend some time and some money.
I have very little experience with casinos so I don't have much to compare this to, but I had a great time here with my friends this past weekend.
We came to Harrah's to see The Price is Right live for my friend's birthday.
We arrived early to sign up to be contestants and to eat dinner.
We decided to eat at Brio, one of the many options for dinner inside of the casino.
We enjoyed our Italian meals and some of the other options include Ruths Chris, Noodle Bar, Johnny Rockets and Soundbytes sports bar.
There are also bars throughout the casino, and even a small dance club.
The Casino is loud and flashy just as expected.
It winds around and is somewhat confusing, you could definitely get lost in there, but I imagine that probably helps them make money.
The click at this page here is super friendly and helpful.
Every time we needed help finding something or had questions, we would just ask the nearest staff member and they would help us with a smile on their faces.
We even had some fun conversations with them, laughing and having a good time.
My friend even got offered to be adopted by one of them, haha!
This casino is full of mostly slot machines and card tables.
There are few other types of games.
My favorite was a horse racing game with mini horses that race and you bet on who will win.
I could've spent all day there.
Another fun one was called Zap and you just push buttons really fast to make money aka loose money.
I can't believe that I lived in Asheville for 12 years before going to Harrah's.
It was super fun and I can't wait to go back.
I enjoyed my visit, however, I was disappointed in the short temperament of those in customer service roles.
Additionally, there were lots of people smoking in the non-smoking areas with no apparent interventions.
Being encompassed by smoke in non-smoking areas is off-putting.
Otherwise, this is a nice venue with a diverse array of gaming and food options.
We like to play tournament poker in Las Vegas, and while Harrah's Cherokee is also on the WSOP circuit we just missed the tournament on the day we visited.
The place is large and has very ample parking in a nice new structure.
The elevators from parking to the casino are very convenient.
From the time we walked in, it felt like Oasis casino mesquite, cigarette smoke smell and all.
The biggest difference is rather than a nice server walking around asking about free cocktails, there is a charge for cocktails at Cherokee.
That's not such a bad thing as it limits the amount of customers that tend to overdo it, as the do in Vegas.
We already have our Players Cards from our trips to Vegas, and they worked fine here.
The interior decor was nice, and pretty entertainment grosvenor brighton casino new like most nice Vegas casinos.
Overall, a nice way to press your luck for a couple of hours.
I was a former employee here for a couple weeks Ultrastar.
And had to move back to the west coast for an emergency.
Before I left for Washington, I tried to contact mamagers about my paycheck I worked so hard for.
I emailed about 3-4 times and got no response from anyone.
Once I got back to Washington I called and asked to speak to a certain manager, the employee on the phone said "okay he's here, let me go get him for you" I waited for a couple mins and the employee answered and asked "may I ask who is calling" and I stated my name he went back to tell this certain manager that I was calling.
I can't even count how many employees would eat food in the kitchen or not wear gloves.
Employees would reach with their bare hands into the fries pan and eat them right there in the kitchen.
I witnessed even the cooks not wearing gloves.
I would not recommend this dishonest place!!
I've seen several concerts here and enjoy the overall experience provided for a fun night with good friends!
Security are all casino employees and are all super friendly and helpful to guests.
This weekend we had dinner and Ruth's Chris and enjoyed the gaming floor for a few before heading to the show.
Everyone was very nice we spoke with at the restaurant.
Most folks were also going to see the concert based on the rock https://bannerven.com/casino/casino-palace-insurgentes-telefono.html roll T-shirt's on display which all is part of the fun!
We did and hated the initial bar.
The escalator is an easy way to get to the upper levels if necessary.
We had seats up top and the lines we shorter along with nicer service in general, still know option to have a lime with your drink.
Do yourself a favor and get a ticket that orientates your viewing within a middle section.
Sound is not good on the outsides in my experience.
After the show we headed over to the arcade and only "club" they have onsite.
Service was friendly and it was really the only place to hang after a show that isn't next to a slot machine which to me can be depressing after a very short while.
The DJ played a mix of dance music complete with edited lyrics at a 21+ entertainment venue?
We all had fun dancing for a bit but the room started to fill with what seemed to be more locals out on a Friday night vs.
We ended up going back to the hotel rooms after a couple hours.
Next time I'm sneaking in my own limes and ginger beer for cocktails.
We lived in the one bedroom suite new renovated and stuff are broken here and there and it's definitely not clean.
It looks like the whole casino is crumbling down.
The cleaning crew left my door open with the dead bolt last night after cleaning my room.
Who knows how long this was a thing.
Never seen that happen in my life.
I also think every cig smoker in America comes here.
You can't even go outside and enjoy the river without getting blasted in the face by smoke.
I've stayed at a lot of harrahs.
This one takes the cake as the worst.
I been going to this casino for some time now since is the only one closed to us, honestly I don't like it much since people are allow to smoke, yes they do have smoking and non smoking area but people don't care, they do smoke next to you like if it's okay to pass cancer to others.
You get in, you gotta show your ID because your under 40 years old or look like, my point is fine you check for ID's now why not spending some of our money that we donate on your machines to buy some wristbands to put on people's wrists instead of bothering us all the time, we got in, showed the ID, went upstairs to eat at the Chefs buffet, when we were done went downstairs to keep playing and we got ask for ID again, this is so ANNOYING!!!!
I'm strongly considering stop visiting and donating my money to Cherokee Casino plus some of your security guards are so rude, specially a fat big belly old guy and a guy with a prosthetic arm, you need to have some manners, thanks to people like me that like to gamble you have a job just be respectful to your clientele.
I visit Harrah's probably 3-4 times a year either for overnight comp stays as a total rewards member or just for the day.
The property is beautiful.
I remember when it was just a casino and not much else.
Now there are shops, restaurants, an event center and bowling alley.
Food onsite is pretty pricey but you've gotta pay for the atmosphere somehow I guess and in comparison to their AC location its cheap.
The shops seem to have knick knacks and souvenirs if you like that sort of thing but I'm there just to gamble and eat when I get hungry.
My rooms have always been clean and ready at check in, staff has been helpful.
The Soco tower is usually my choice for rooming.
It always smells good and not heavy with cigarette smoke.
The only complaint I have this last visit was that the tv service kept freezing and the screen blacked out but I wasnt there to watch tv anyway and it was only for 1 night.
Also, on Sunday they have a seafood buffet with crab legs.
While everything at the buffet is mostly self serve, they have a server with the crab legs.
They'll give you 2 clusters each time you return with a clean harrahs cherokee casino entertainment />If that's your thing at least you stand a chance of getting some.
There is variety on the gaming floor but I typically play slots as far as wins, it just depends on the day.
I will say the machines are more generous than the Harrah's in Vegas or Atlantic City.
I think at Cherokee, you can at least walk away with what you came with.
I don't think I have ever been to a casino that had such a poorly produced Buffett.
Almost everything was pre- made and frozenand actually not even warm enough to eat.
The raviolieggs for the salad, the rolls the soup most of the Chinese foodMac and cheese, the desserts etc.
Really just not great at all.
As it was our first time here we thought this was the only restaurant available that late but found 2 others later.
I can only imagine the quality of the other food!!
Not recommended unless you have no other choice and you are starving.
Never met sooooo many rude workers in my life.
They talk to you anyway and throw your chips.
I had to get into it with 2 dealers while here.
Management does not care how they behave either.
Janet the roulette dealer was the worst ever.
I doubt I go back here.
Lovely propertylots of restaurantsnice employeestight tight machines.
You do not get enough play for your money and I should knowI have lived in Las Vegas since 1991.
I think they did a great job with the hotel with it's mountain theme.
I would like to stay in a room one day when I visit again.
This was my first time click Harrahs Cherokee Casino.
Upon arrival, our group was greeted and given instructions.
We were all excited and looking forward to a great day of gambling and enjoying the amenities of the casino.
However, as soon as we entered the casino, we spent an hour and 20 minutes in line waiting to get registered for a casino card.
Unfortunately, that put a big damper on our day and it took an unnecessary amount of time.
By the time we were able to get our small group of 13 people registered, a lot of our excitement had been dampened.
We did get into the actual casino floor which was smaller than we thought.
There were a good variety of machines, but not that many blackjack tables.
There seem to be a lot of penny and two cent, machines for a casino this size.
We spent a good bit of time on the casino floor trying various machines and other games.
There are a good number of ATM machines and machines to cash out.
Many of the slot machines do take cards so cash is not really necessary.
The slots seem to be well-maintained and there was a good crowd of people mingling in the casino though not overly crowded.
There is a really fantastic buffet.
The food is delicious and there is a great variety including Italian, Asian, Cajun, American comfort food, barbecue, seafood, and a great salad bar.
The dessert bar had a good variety of options including cake, pie, ice cream, cobblers etc.
You can order drinks while in the buffet and the service was fantastic.
We did not stay https://bannerven.com/casino/choctaw-nation-casino-in-durant-oklahoma.html a hotel since this was only a day trip.
The facility was clean and well-maintained.
Some of the casino staff seemed a little inexperienced and didn't really give the great customer service that was expected.
All in all, an interesting day trip for adults.
This is one of my favorite places.
Before you read into that, I don't play any games against the house.
I only play poker, which is against other people.
The casino doesn't care who wins.
The good stuff here outweighs the bad.
I'll keep it simple.
Good Stuff: Nice people, beautiful scenery, WSOP three times per year, Noodle Bar, Brio.
Bad Stuff: Charged for all drinks.
Harrah's casino is a great location.
Maybe nicest casino I've seen from comfort standpoint.
I always feel very relaxed there.
Maybe it's the mountains and river.
Though I don't look like it, I'm also a small % Native American and this is on an Indian Reservation.
The smoke is horrible!!!!!
Ok so I've been to casinos in Vegas and New Orleans and there was significantly more ventilation to prevent the harrahs cherokee casino entertainment smoker's headache, but this casino was all smoke.
I got sick because of it and had to frequently run outside to get some air.
I don't know why it was so bad but whenever I was in there, my eyes started watering and I got huge headaches and eventually had to leave because I felt so nauseous.
If you are a smoker you will probably be fine but nonsmokers beware, this casino is not for you.
One of a kind place in North Carolina.
But none the less Harrahs in Cherokee really does it right.
I've never gone to the hotel or to go eat.
I'm sure those things have their own pros and click here but I go for the casino part.
There are cheaper places to eat and stay around the area.
Also the area surround the casino is absolutely beautiful.
Hiking and waterfalls within minutes.
They've got all the games, slots and tables.
And they hold high stakes events from time to time as well.
Countless hours can be spent here and you'll never know due to there being no windows or clocks.
The first time I went the smoke in the area was pretty bad but the 2nd time it wasn't too serious.
Just know smoking is allowed!
The casino is huge with tons of areas to explore.
Drinks aren't too expensive but they aren't free on the floor so that's okay.
Have a good time but don't go overboard!
Workers are nice and help you if you're new and if you're a seasoned gambler then you'll fit right in.
Not terrible but not even close to Vegas.
Issues either taking credit cards at the bar while we were there.
Drinks are kinda high for a casino.
And there were issues with the pay out machines while we were there.
Machines were tight in my opinion, maybe because there was a lot of construction going on that needed to be paid for.
Not sure if I will return.
Excellent Laurel Lounge and our server, Don was great!
He took really good care of us.
Then the next night we had Kathryn as our server and she was very helpful!
The distance from car to hotel room is ridiculously long!
Overall we had a great first visit!
They have security at all entrances.
But there is a small arcade right in front inside.
Video games and other games that let you win prizes.
Then a security guard right before you enter gambling area Like any casino, they say there are non-smoking areas, but the guy next to you always smokes.
No one will ask them to put out the cigarette or move.
So good I had a little bit of everything lol well except Italian food.
